The Nantong Free Trade Zone, situated within the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone (NETDA), got off to a robust start in 2024.
The shipments by Canda Supply Chain in the free trade zone neared 100,000 orders on Jan 28-29, a staggering increase of 500 percent compared with other days, according to Wang Zhijuan, who is in charge of Canda.

This surge can be attributed to the free trade zone's efficient customs clearance and one-stop service, bringing great convenience to local businesses, Wang explained.
Supported by local customs, the Nantong Free Trade Zone has in recent years taken measures to create a favorable business environment in perspectives of capital, policies, customs clearance, and logistics for local cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
In 2023, the zone completed 1 billion yuan ($139.77 million) worth of cross-border e-commerce bonded import business, covering over 5,000 varieties of commodities including beauty makeup, personal care, and health care products.
The administrative committee of the Nantong Free Trade Zone will continue improving the business environment and administrative services and encourage new foreign trade activities this year.
