The renovation of the Nantong Sports Park in Jiangsu province has drawn to an end, local media reported recently.

With the appearance of a colorful playground from atop, each of the park's zones are shaped into round spaces and surrounded by a zigzagging blue footpath.

Stepping out from the No 4 Exit of the Tiyu Gongyuan Station, subway line 2, one will meet an outdoor fitness zone equipped with elliptical machines, spinning bikes, and other body-building equipment, favored by local senior residents.

About 10 meters to the west of the fitness area lies the children's playground, equipped with swings and child-sized slides, making it a children's paradise.

The blue-surfaced suspended footpath surrounding the sports park is a sight for sore eyes for runners and walkers alike seeking a view of the beautiful Haohe River scenic area.

Finishing touches are currently being made to the basketball courts and skatepark.

Thanks to the efforts of local authorities in building sports parks, fitness paths, and other sports facilities, local residents are now able to reach the nearest sports establishment in just a 10–minute walk.
