Rudong makes strides in enhancing living environment
Rudong county in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been dedicated to improving residents' living environment as a way to elevate their overall quality of life.
The creation of Heming Park, a 400-million-yuan ($55.68 million) investment by Rudong, addresses the shortage of suburban public leisure spaces. The park has now evolved into a popular destination for residents seeking to relax and entertain themselves.
In addition to the park, Rudong actively pursues innovative cultural and tourism projects, including the enchanting Bengcha ancient town, catering to the growing recreational needs of the local population.
The county is also making significant strides in revitalizing the living environment in rural areas. The county has nurtured 75 villages as advanced models in the comprehensive enhancement of rural living environments at the municipal level. Hulu village in Yangkou town is one of the 25 pilot villages selected for improving public space this year.
The village has undergone extensive improvements in river channel restoration, road refurbishment, residential housing enhancements, and the overall upkeep of public environmental facilities.
