The 2023 Jiangsu Provincial Youth Athletics Championships took place from July 21 to 25, at which athletes from Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province won 10 gold medals and several silver and bronze medals.

Over 1,200 young athletes from all 13 cities in the province attended this year’s competition, 85 of whom were from Nantong.

A total of 121 events were included, including 36 events in the 16-17 age group, 36 events in the 14-15 age group, 40 events in the 12-13 age group, and nine team events.

Throughout the competition, the young athletes from Tongzhou secured seven individual championships and three team championships.

In recent years, athletes trained in the Tongzhou Youth Sports School have achieved outstanding results in the provincial youth athletics championships. They have been at the forefront in terms of the total number of gold medals and the overall team score in the city.
