Art shows light up Nantong's summer nights

The Haohe River Summer Night art performance has finally resumed after a three-year hiatus because of COVID-19.
The event kicked off on July 15 with a song and dance drama at the Huanxi Cultural Square provided by the Nantong municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting and tourism and the Nantong Art Theater.

The performance culminated with the dramas Zhang Jian Biography and Where Azalea Flowers Blossom.
Starting from July 28 to Aug 25, a total of eight art shows will be offered at the Huanxi Cultural Square on Friday and Saturday.

Nantong resident Sun Xinneng, aged 63, who took his seat as a spectator very early to wait for the performance, said that he has watched the performance for many years and that he was excited about its resumption.
The Haohe River Summer Night art performance has been held for more than 40 years and has gained a high reputation in China.
