Built in the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Urban Green Valley scenic area is located in Lujing Port, Gugang town in Nantong.
Once known as the "Chen Family's Garden", it was built by the industrialist Chen Baochu and is now home to more than 150 plant species and over 2,000 trees, including more than 20 trees aged 100 to 120.

The garden is the only of its kind in the city with relatively intact French-English style.
In May 2011, Urban Green Valley opened to the public and was rated as a national 3A-level scenic area the same year. Urban Green Valley has become a natural oxygen bar with excellent scenery and a popular destination for entertainment by Nantong residents.

The scenic area offers intangible cultural heritage research courses such as traditional Chinese etiquette, tie-dyeing, and palm weaving. It also provides ecological research courses such as art flower arrangement, DIY micro-landscaping, and leaf collage, as well as physical education research courses such as cosplay of Counter Strike, shooting practice, and team building training.
In the summer, Urban Green Valley is colorful and radiates unique charm in different colors. The warm and gentle breeze from the Yangtze River brushes through the ancient port, and the summer sun becomes more intense. Standing in Urban Green Valley, breathing the fresh and pure sea breeze, one can feel the warmth of the sun on one's face.
