Argentina seeks cooperation with Tongzhou Bay
A delegation led by Luciano Tanto Clement, consul general of Argentina in Shanghai, visited the Tongzhou Bay demonstration area in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 24 to seek more cooperation with the area.
During the visit, the delegation toured the main port area, including the "2+1" terminals, as well as the Tongzhou Bay planning exhibition center.
The delegation praised the high-quality development of the Tongzhou Bay demonstration area and expressed their hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in port logistics as well as economic and trade development.
Argentina is home to several excellent ports and serves as a crucial logistics hub in South America.
Argentina also has abundant mineral resources such as oil, natural gas, lithium, and copper, with significant exports to Asia, and is a major producer and exporter of agricultural products and meat, leading to the nickname "world's food and meat pantry".
China is Argentina's second-largest trading partner, and the economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between Nantong and Argentina have been frequent, with cooperation in various fields deepening over time.
