NETDA holds symposium on new-generation information technology in Beijing

Authorities in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area in East China's Jiangsu province held an investment and cooperation conference on the new-generation information technology industry in Beijing on May 24.
The conference was aimed at strengthening investment cooperation between multinational corporations, China's major enterprises, investment agencies and NETDA in the new-generation information technology industry, according to authorities.
Yu Guangsheng, deputy director of the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, Zhong Chunhua, deputy director of the NETDA administrative committee, and representatives from nearly 30 renowned enterprises from home and abroad attended the event.
Yu outlined the actual use of foreign capital in manufacturing and high-tech industries in China this year and expressed hope that participants will cooperate more with NETDA in the new-generation information technology industry in the future.
Dong Jingli, director of NETDA's investment promotion bureau, explained NETDA's comparative advantages in the new-generation information technology industry, the latest developments in transportation infrastructure, and the latest measures taken to optimize the business environment.
Several representatives from enterprises including Nexus Telecom and Inspur Cloud Information Technology Co gave keynote speeches on cyber supervision and digital transformation.
Representatives said that the event served as an important platform to help them learn more about the area's business policies, including the latest regulations on environmental protection and energy consumption. They also expressed their desire to conduct field surveys in NETDA.
