Wang Erxiao-made razor clam soup

Natives of Bencha town in Rudong have eaten razor clams for hundreds of years, and in 2020 Bencha razor clam soup was listed among 100 local cuisines in Jiangsu. Wang Erxiao is renowned for cooking seafood in Rudong, and is especially famous for preparing razor clam soup.

Clam meat pancake

The clam meat pancake is a traditional snack in Rudong. Clam meat is the main ingredient, and the pancake is also mixed with minced pork, water chestnuts, and towel gourds.

Braised Langshan rooster

Langshan rooster features resilient and tender meat because the rooster spends a lot of time fighting and running. It is considered more delicious than dishes made with other chickens.

Bencha steamed stuffed bun

Bencha steamed stuffed buns include pork-stuffed buns, crab roe-stuffed buns, and turnip strip-stuffed buns. They are all mixed with diced pork to create a unique taste.

Yizhulou sesame pancake

Freshly-baked sesame pancake is especially delicious with a wheaty fragrance and crisp crust. There is usually a long line of people waiting for the freshly-baked snack at Yizhulou Store from morning to sunset.

Wei Family refreshments

Hand-made fillings and no additives distinguish the Wei Family store from its counterparts in Rudong. Although most of the food items at the store are fried, they are not greasy and preserve the original flavor of their ingredients.
