Qidong releases 2022 statistics bulletin
The per capita disposable income of residents in Qidong, a county-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, was 46,337 yuan ($6,740) in 2022, an increase of 4.9 percent over the previous year, according to government statistics.
The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 57,106 yuan, up 4 percent, while that of rural residents was 32,501 yuan, up 5.8 percent.
The income ratio of urban to rural residents was 1.76:1, 0.03 lower than the previous year.
The city's registered population was over 1.07 million, including 957,000 permanent residents. A total of 3,576 people were born in 2022, increasing the registered population by 0.33 percent.
The annual PM2.5 concentration dropped to 22.8 micrograms per cubic meter, ranking first in the province. The rate of days with good air quality reached 85 percent, ranking among the highest in the province.
The city granted 666 invention patents in 2022, an increase of 30.8 percent over the previous year. The number of valid invention patents increased by 18.8 percent to 4,097.
The number of invention patents held per 10,000 people was 42.61, up 19.5 percent, ranking 10th among the top 100 counties and cities in scientific and technological innovation.
