The Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, is set to roll out a new flight schedule on March 26.

There are 16 airlines operating at the airport, which is expected to see a record average of 130 flights to 37 cities per day starting on March 26.

The Nantong airport will launch six to seven direct flights to Chengdu, five to Guangzhou and Guiyang, four to five to Beijing, Kunming, and Chongqing, and four to Shenzhen and Changsha every day.

The airport will also launch one direct flight to Zunyi, Guizhou province. The new flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting on March 26.

In addition, the airport will resume seven routes to Hailar and Hohhot, two cities in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, as well as Lhasa in Tibet autonomous region.

The flight to Hailar will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays and the flight to Lhasa will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. There will be one flight to Hohhot every day.

In 2022, the airport's passenger throughput was nearly 1.72 million, ranking 51st nationwide and fourth in the province, while its freight throughput reached 54,300 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.32percent.
