Plums bloom in Rugao
Plums in Yiyuan Garden, Rugao, Nantong, Jiangsu province, recently entered their peak blooming period as early spring approaches, attracting large crowds to the garden.
The plum blossom is a symbol of hope and new beginnings in Chinese culture, and its delicate pink and white petals are a sight to behold.
Yiyuan Garden features a Jiangnan style and was first built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The pavilion, terrace, and rockery are all laid out asymmetrically.
