Sponsored by the Jingdezhen Ceramic Research Institute, Nantong Jingshitang Herb Technology Co Ltd and the Jingdezhen Ceramics Research and Production Center, the exhibition commemorates Zhang Jian's contributions to the development of ceramic industry in Jingdezhen.

Zhang Jian (1853-1926) was a Nantong-born industrial magnate and scholar who participated in the establishment of Jiangxi Ceramics Co and built China Ceramics School in Jingdezhen, which is believed to be the predecessor of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.
