The government of Haimen district in Nantong recently launched a series of measures to boost the high-quality development of the district's real economy, local media outlets reported.
The real economy has been a major force behind Haimen's growth, officials said.
The measures, which consist of 30 articles, will focus on expanding business operations, improving private companies' innovation capacity, and encouraging companies to "go out".
Industrial companies that achieve an increase of more than 1 billion yuan ($152.68 million) in taxable sales revenue throughout the year will receive 5 million yuan in awards, while those in the service industry that achieve an increase of more than 2 billion yuan in taxable sales revenue are eligible for a subsidy of 500,000 yuan.
Companies are also encouraged to improve their research and development capacity and promote the commercialization of research results. Those that are recognized as sci-tech innovative companies can receive a maximum of 5 million yuan in subsidies.
The measures also encourage companies to enhance their competitiveness in the global market by expanding overseas, exploring new foreign trade models, and deepening cooperation in financing and credit loans.
A maximum of 1 million yuan in subsidies will be offered to service outsourcing companies that offer offshore services worth at least $300,000 and realize an increase compared to the previous year, as well as cross-border e-commerce platforms that accommodate more than 10 cross-border e-commerce businesses and have formed an industrial chain.
