All 53 national A-level tourist attractions in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province have resumed operations as of March 30, according to the city's culture, broadcasting, television and tourism bureau.

The spots have taken strict epidemic prevention measures, including taking visitor temperatures and real-time monitoring of the number of visitors.

Employees also patrol the areas regularly to ensure that visitors are wearing masks and there are no gatherings.

"Although the Nantong Botanical Garden is an outdoor scenic area, we still take the temperatures of all employees before the start of work each day, and disinfect public areas and facilities regularly," said Bai Xue, a spokesperson for the garden.

According to regulations on targeted epidemic prevention and resumption of local businesses, only outdoor areas of the scenic spots can reopen, while indoor areas and entertainment facilities, such as tourist coaches, exhibition halls and cableways, still remain closed.

The tourism bureau warned that even though previous epidemic control measures have produced positive results, more efforts should be made to prevent a rebound of the outbreak.
