Since it began operations, the China-Laos Railway has handled over 9,000 international cargo trains, carrying a total of 7.95 million tonnes of import and export goods as of Tuesday, data from China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co Ltd showed.
Recently, over 7,000 mu (about 466.67 hectares) of pear trees in Chenggong district, Kunming, have burst into full bloom.
The China-Laos Railway had registered more than 30 million passenger trips and over 34 million metric tons of cargo by Tuesday, facilitating people and cargo movements from both countries and showcasing the railway's role in injecting vitality into economic and social development along the line.
