A special service team set up by the Xinghua Economic Development Zone – in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – has helped resolve a slew of challenges inherited by the local unit of French dairy giant Lactalis.
Situated in the Xinghua EDZ, Lactalis (Jiangsu) Diary Co Ltd is the only factory in China established by French dairy group Lactalis – the biggest dairy products company in the world – with a total investment of 10 million euros ($10.75 million).
After acquiring Jiangsu Taizi Diary Co Ltd, the local Lactalis unit found out that the original investor had many problems to do with project construction and operations management, which restricted its normal operations and healthy development.
A special service team was then established by the zone to provide one-to-one services for Lactalis (Jiangsu) Diary Co Ltd.
Moreover, the zone went one better – releasing its Implementation plan for improving the fault-tolerant and error correction mechanism – an initiative that is said to have reduced the concerns of the service team.
The plan noted that when resolving conflicts and solving historical legacy problems, those who have made certain mistakes and deviations – due to their courage to overcome obstacles and increase efforts to make advancements – can be given fault tolerance.
At present, the issues of dairy production project approval, overdue completion date and real estate certificates have been resolved, while the rectification of hidden faults in the fire protection facilities is being actioned.
In March, the chairman of the North Asia Region of Lactalis made a visit to the zone and expressed his thanks for the zone's services. An additional 10 million euros were invested by Lactalis for the technical renovations on May 26.
