In recent years, the Xinghua Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, has conducted a raft of services to help locals solve medical insurance related problems.
At the medical insurance service center in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, a local citizen who wanted to open a new medical insurance account for his newborn grandson benefited from the new services.
"It is my first time handling this type of business, and I was worried about it. I didn't expect the staff to be so helpful, it was so convenient for me," said the citizen.
In order to help locals learn about medical treatment policies, the bureau has continued to create innovative publicity methods. For example, it placed exhibition booths in different sub-district service centers and thought of different ways to list examples and interpret data to effectively improve its publicity reach.
The bureau has also promoted door-to-door services for key population groups, such as the elderly and disabled. What's more, special staff has been placed in service centers to guide the elderly to use their smart phone services.
