Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province, has established a service team to urge local manufacturers to rectify safety hazards, thus promoting a safer production environment.
One successful case study would be the Kaifu fishing gear factory, which is located inside the larger Chushui fishing gear factory. The latter has rented out space to 11 workshop-style enterprises in succession to date.
Ji Kaifu, director of the Kaifu factory, devoted himself to production while neglecting to improve the image and security facilities of the facility.
At present, the factory has rectified this by following the 16 safety production rectification measures suggested by the service team.
In the case of the Chushui fishing gear factory, it has recruited two security guards to conduct safety inspections. Each leased factory within its premises now has one safety officer in place.
"Local departments will continue to promote rectifying (any safety issues) for sustainable and high-quality economic development," said Cui Guangyu, director of the Xinghua Bureau of Emergency Management.
