The precision casting industrial park in Chenbao town, located in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, has since March last year attracted four key projects worth over 500 million yuan ($68.43 million) each, further consolidating the competitive advantages of industrial agglomeration.
They include a high-precision ball bearings manufacturing plant, a mechanical component manufacturing plant and two automotive parts manufacturing facilities.
Intelligent and green production will run through the entire production process of the four projects.
They will also adopt technological innovation in a bid to drive the transformation and upgrading of the traditional casting industry forwards.

The high-precision ball bearings manufacturing project, for instance, is adopting centrifugal casting instead of traditional processes and an alkaline blackening process instead of acid washing treatment, significantly improving the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the products made by the plant.
Centrifugal casting operates within a closed machine and the metal billets formed by the casting not only eliminate porosity defects but also ensure operational safety.
On completion, 232 sets of computer numerical control equipment will form an annual production capacity of 2-5 million sets of high-precision bearings.
Looking ahead, plans are for Chenbao town to further consolidate the advantages of ITS industrial agglomeration and create a more competitive precision casting industry cluster.
