Xinghua crab market boosts data sharing of inspection results

The Anfeng Crab Market in Xinghua, located in East China's Jiangsu province, has introduced a fast citywide information sharing system for the inspection results of edible agricultural products, enabling the data to be shared throughout the entire city.

As Xinghua's main crab trading market, Anfeng completed the rollout of the system before this year's Mid-Autumn Festival.

The system will further improve the level of information traceability management for edible agricultural products and achieve the common sharing of speedy inspection results across the city.

"Every day, we conduct a certain number of rapid inspections to strengthen our source controls and the test results are synchronously uploaded to the citywide sharing system," said Wang Baoqin, a member of staff in the market's quick inspections room.

Wang said information is displayed on a large screen on the first floor of the market for public inquiries and the city's other agricultural markets – that have been installed with similar terminals – display the data simultaneously.

As a result, the agricultural markets no longer conduct testing on products that have already been inspected in the Anfeng Crab Market, avoiding duplicate testing and unnecessary waste of resources.

Since the system was put into use, more than 50 batches of rapid inspection results have been shared.
