Eighteen new projects were signed in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, during a commerce and trade fair held on Sept 28, which attracted nearly 200 entrepreneurs and business representatives.
During the event, Chen Fengjian, Xinghua's Party secretary, was bullish about his city's prospects.
He said that Xinghua was actively adapting to the new situation and requirements based on the latest national policies.
Chen emphasized that the city would explore the creation of a lower cost industrial ecosystem and a more efficient value realization system, among other things.
To help it achieve goals, a 150-million-yuan ($21.22 million) fund has been established in Xinghua for high-quality technology projects, which will channel a maximum investment of 45 million yuan each to assist new projects in overcoming their early difficulties.
Wang Xiaoqiu, vice-mayor of Xinghua, promoted the city's modern agricultural industry at the event, while Zhang Donggen, vice-mayor of Xinghua, talked about its efforts to develop special industry areas.
Wang Yong, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of the Xinghua Economic Development Zone, recommended the zone's industrial ecosystem.
