Dainan town in Xinghua, East China's Jiangsu province, is currently home to 108 logistics enterprises, with 180 logistics dedicated lines connecting over 2,000 logistics nodes.
Known as a famous stainless steel town in China, Dainan town now sees over 3 million metric tons of its stainless steel products transported to various parts of the country annually.
A stainless steel modern logistics park has been built in the town, making it a local distribution center for stainless steel and various other products.
With a floor area of 200,000 square meters, the logistics park is responsible for logistics, warehousing, product trading, e-commerce, and financial services.
"The reason for such a large transportation volume is that the source of goods far exceeds the scope of Dainan town," said Song Junhua, secretary of the Party branch of the town's logistics association, adding that many stainless steel products from over 30 surrounding areas also depart from the town to various other parts of the country.
The operating model of the logistics park consists of first-level nodes in provincial capital cities, second-level nodes in prefecture-level cities, third-level nodes in county towns, and fourth-level nodes in key townships.
Many entrepreneurs have set up warehouses and sales locations in the logistics park due to its well-connected logistics network, which can facilitate customer pick-up and reduce operating costs.
