A special alloy tube sheet deep processing plant being funded by Jiangsu Xinhua Alloy Co Ltd – located in Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province – broke ground on July 11.
Costing 1.02 billion yuan ($140.39 million), it will specialize in manufacturing advanced functional special alloy materials, rods, tubes, plates and special alloy products for nuclear power applications.
On completion, it will produce 12,000 metric tons of special alloy tubes and sheet materials for nuclear power annually and generate invoiced sales of 1 billion yuan per annum.
The project will be constructed in three phases, mainly including the R&D center building, R&D laboratory and production workshop
Its R&D will cover high-end electric heating alloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, special alloys for nuclear power and special alloys for equipment, among others.
With 70 percent of the total project investment used for equipment, the owner will build three production lines for high-quality high-temperature alloy production and manufacturing.
Founded in 1998, Jiangsu Xinhua Alloy Co Ltd is a high-tech firm integrating research and development, production and sales of special alloy materials.
To date, the company has established three provincial-level industry-university-research cooperation platforms.
