Industry alliance Party committees in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, have since April established separate research teams.
Their purpose is to visit a raft of industry-related business enterprises and to learn about their development problems and needs.
The teams cover the high-performance metal product industry, as well as the green and health foods, modern agriculture and castings sectors.
After collating and summarizing their demands, the research teams found that four of local enterprises had urgent needs to expand production and build new factories – with their demands for production materials proving similar, although they offered different products.
As a result, the research teams suggested that the four joined hands to develop a new plant, which would save on land and costs, as well as co-develop markets.
In addition, the city's Party committee for the modern agricultural industry alliance encouraged the Caigao aquaculture professional cooperative and the Yingui aquaculture professional cooperative to get in touch, in a match-making initiative.
"By introducing new technology and a new species – the green shrimp fry – the output of each mu (1 mu =0.07 hectares) of crab pond has increased greatly," said director of the Yingui aquaculture professional cooperative.
Looking ahead, plans are for Xinghua to continue to conduct visits to enterprises – dynamically updating lists of company needs, enterprise resources, department resources and action projects.
It will also help business enterprises solve problems with practical measures, according to the organization department of the Xinghua municipal Party committee.
