The launch ceremony for the Duoshang Reading Month recently took place in Zhongbao town in Xinghua city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – in the run-up to World Book and Copyright Day on April 23.
The activity kicked off with a reading promotional video called The Fragrance of Books and the Joy of Reading in Xinghua.
Reading promoters Kong Fanbin and Wang Lan shared their stories with books at the event. Adding to the fun, other diverting activities were also staged to showcase the rich reading atmosphere in Xinghua.
During this year's Duoshang Reading Month, Xinghua will carry out a series of 56 reading activities – including a reading recitation competition and a Duotian teaching class – to further meet the cultural needs of people.
