Around the time of Shuangjiang, one of the 24 solar terms in the Chinese lunar calendar in October, the villagers in Linhu village in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – were busy collecting chrysanthemums.
In recent years, Linhu village has focused on developing the chrysanthemum economy to boost agricultural efficiency and increase the incomes of farmers.
It now has formed a large-scale, specialized and industrialized planting model – also combining agricultural industry with cultural tourism to inject new vitality into its rural vitalization.
