Xingua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – held an autumn trade and technology fair on Oct 26 to invite more entrepreneurs to invest in the city.
Over 200 entrepreneurs and business representatives gathered in the city to seek development opportunities.
A total of 83 projects were signed during the event, with a combined investment of 27.12 billion yuan ($3.71 billion).
For the latest projects to be signed up, Xinghua will provide the best policies and services to be an ideal partner, said Yin Jun, deputy secretary of the city's Party committee.
After years of development, Xinghua is now thriving in such industries as stainless steel, health foods and equipment manufacturing, said Chen Fengjian, mayor of the city.
As a result, it's been consecutively selected on the list of China's top 100 county-level economic cities, national comprehensive strength cities and as one of China's top 100 industrial cities, Chen added.
