A crab and chrysanthemum music and food festival took place in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city, Jiangsu province – from Sept 26 to Oct 6.
It attracted 24,000 visits and generated 852,000 yuan ($116,825) in income.
With its venue in Xinghua's Qianduo Cole Flower Scenic Area, the festival staged a range of fun activities for tourists to enjoy their long holiday.
A performance of Yi Nian Qian Duo took to the stage every day during the period, immersing tourists in the unique scenery of Xinghua, a splendid region of rivers and lakes.
Moreover, the scenic corridor allowed 400 tourists at a time to climb up and admire the golden chrysanthemum fields there. They could also taste hairy crabs, and sample fragrant yellow wine and sweet floral tea at the venue.
During the recent Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday period, some 2,459 cultural activities were held in Taizhou city, attracting 943,640 participants.
