Xie Shanbiao, vice-president of the farmers' painting association in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, is regarded as one of the "most beautiful grassroots graduates" in the province as he has created paintings of farming landscapes with local characteristics and helped local people enjoy greater prosperity.
The 33-year-old was born in Duotian sub-district, home of the intangible cultural heritage technique known as "Duotian farmer painting".
After graduating from university, he chose to focus on this niche and dedicate himself to painting agricultural scenes, especially local villages and farmers. He now ranks as one of leading figures in this field in Jiangsu.

Since 2018, Xie and his team have created over 2,000 wall paintings including such themes as Party theory, modern culture, traditional virtues, city scenery, and local industry.
Xie insists on undertaking projects and cultivating students to promote rural vitalization.
He has established a cultural and tourism company in Yanbei village, receiving over 30,000 visits to date and achieving annual sales of over 1.8 million yuan ($249,898) as punters flock to buy his cultural and creative products and agricultural by-products.
Taking this as a starting point, he said he will drive more young people to promote rural vitalization and improve the profile of Doutian farmer paintings.
