Xinghua city adds 118 hectares of construction land

Xinghua city – administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – recently acquired some 1,763 mu (117.53 hectares) of construction land.

The acquisition covered 22 villages and towns, according to a release from the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources.

The use of land will involve in 63 industrial projects, 34 infrastructure projects and 45 livelihood projects.

The industrial projects include the construction of a stainless steel comprehensive trade demonstration zone, the Anfeng crab trade market and the Daying red onion industrial park, among others.

In mid-June, the city's stainless steel comprehensive trade demonstration zone, with a total investment of 4 billion yuan ($551.99 million), received 50 mu of construction land. It is regarded as a provincial-level major project in the current year.

The newly acquired land is regarded as being vital for Xinghua's high-quality development and project construction program. Previously, the city established a special team to participate in the declaration.
