The opening ceremony of the 2023 Xinghua Lotus Tourism Festival took place at the Wanmu Hetang scenic area in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – on June 20.
The event indicates that summer has arrived, with all its enchantment, in Xinghua city and visitors can enjoy exquisite lotus flowers that are now in full bloom.
Located in Qianduo town, Wanmu Hetang, covering a total area of over 12,000 mu (800 hectares), is an ecological tourism area that is festooned with lotuses.
A three-layered observation platform has been built in the middle of a boardwalk, enabling folks to get a panoramic view of 10,000 mu of lake, as well as the wonderful lotuses in the water.
