The Huangpu district of East China's Shanghai showcased its top cultural and tourism products and offerings at the 2024 Shanghai Huangpu Cultural and Tourism Promotional Event on May 24 – which was staged in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
Through presentations, markets and shows, the participants highlighted Huangpu's attractions and promoted its special cultural products.
The event marked a continuation of the longstanding cultural and tourism exchange between Shanghai and Taizhou, aiming at enriching the products and offerings of both cities and fostering mutual cooperation.
Huangpu, known for landmarks like the Bund and Yuyuan Garden, boasts numerous concept stores, historic buildings and entertainment venues. At the event, iconic landmarks and intangible cultural heritage were spotlighted, offering visitors a taste of both cities' charms.
But the exchange wasn't just about tourism – it was also about preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Agreements were signed to enhance cooperation in heritage conservation and tourism development between the two cities.
