Shisheng Street in Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province and known for its historical significance as an ancient battlefield – has been given a fresh look and is now becoming a popular spot for young people.
The name Shisheng Street comes from a story where Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty (960-1279), achieved 10 victories in one day.
The street was once famous in Taizhou – particularly known for its lively atmosphere and diverse food options – and often referred to as the spicy hot pot street.
After a recent makeover, Shisheng Street is now dominated by trendy shops and Instagram-worthy restaurants and cafes – blending aspects of everyday life, fashion and entertainment.
The renovation project has introduced modern urban elements while preserving favorite local brands.
With various stylish amenities and the addition of unique dining spots, Shisheng Street has become a magnet for both locals and visitors. [Photo/WeChat ID: tztour]
