A promotional conference for the 2023 Xinghua crab and chrysanthemum tourism season took place in Nanjing, the capital city of East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 6.
The crab and chrysanthemum tour in Xinghua this autumn will be an unforgettable journey in terms of ecology, culture, and delicacies, said Yin Jun, mayor of Xinghua.
From Sept 26 to early November, the crab and chrysanthemum tourism season will be held in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou city, Jiangsu province – with its main venue in Xinghua's Qianduo Cole Flower Scenic Area.
During this period, six major events will be held including a music and food festival, a rice culture festival, a hairy crab harvesting festival, an art festival featuring the works of Chinese painting master Zheng Banqiao, a Huaiju Opera art festival, and a half-marathon.
A signing ceremony marking tourism market cooperation was also held at the conference to explore new opportunities and boost the sharing of information about what resources can be capitalized on in terms of Xinghua's culture and tourism.
