Taoyuan is a theme park built to commemorate The Peach Blossom Fan created by Kong Shangren, an opera composer in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It's said that Kong wrote the well-known opera in Taizhou.
It is situated close to the east bank of the Fengcheng River. Featured scenic spots there include a waterside quay, an ancient stone boat, Qingfeng Pavilion, Lotus Root Flower Island and Laifeng Tower.
There's also a former residence of Kong Shangren in Taoyuan Park, with typical Suzhou garden-style architecture.
