Huang Weiping, deputy secretary general of the Taizhou Municipal People's Government, led a visit to Great Wall Motors – headquartered in Baoding city, North China's Hebei province – on Aug 9, to assess its losses after a recent flood disaster.
Baoding in Hebei province and Taizhou in Jiangsu province have been kept close connection as GWM sees Taizhou as an important fulcrum to expand in the Yangtze River Delta market, Huang said.
Taizhou city also sent supplies such as mineral water, instant noodles, and self-heating rice to the headquarters.
Meng Shujie, vice-president of production at Great Wall Motor Company Limited, introduced the company's losses after the disaster, and updated the guests of the enterprise's resumed work and production.
