Officials from the prefecture-level city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – recently paid a visit to offshore innovation centers it has established in East China's Shanghai.
Taizhou has established a regional offshore innovation center at the National Innovation Center par Excellence, or NICE, which began operating in March. The facility is currently home to 10 enterprises.
NICE is a comprehensive national technology innovation center approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, that was co-built by Shanghai and the East China provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui.
Offshore innovation centers are said to be really helping Taizhou businesses to link high-end innovative resources, as well as to promote the deep integration of industry, innovation, capital and talent supply chains.
NICE Director Liu Qing said he believed the center could provide strong momentum for the upgrading and transformation of industries in Taizhou.
