The Taixing High-tech Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, is ramping up the formation of industrial clusters and features, by attracting projects that conform to the regional industrial layout and development direction.
Local manufacturer Jiangsu Youzhi New Energy Technology specializes in the research, development, manufacturing and sales of new energy battery trays.
Since the start of the year, the group has witnessed its monthly shipment volume hit 5,000 sets. Its total sales this year is expected to reach about 200 million yuan ($27.88 million).
In recent years, the Taixing High-tech Zone has seized the opportunities presented by the development of the new energy vehicles industry and moved in industrial supply chain support projects that mainly focus on core components such as generators and batteries.
Jiangsu Jingrun Intelligent Manufacturing moved into the zone this year. It focuses on producing friction stir welding equipment and serving the fields of new energy vehicles and energy storage enclosures.
At full capacity, the company can produce 1,000 sets of friction stir welding equipment annually.
Focusing on the goal of building industrial clusters for energy conservation, environmental protection, new energy and new materials, the zone will emphasize attracting projects involved in key equipment in the integrated circuits and the automotive parts industries.
Plans are for the zone this year to sign up, break ground on and complete the construction of 36, 18 and 14 projects worth over 100 million yuan each, respectively.
