The fifth Jiangsu Saxophone Art Festival and Jiangsu Province Saxophone Competition took place with a flourish in Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 2-4.
Its main venue was set up at Jiangsu Nanji Machinery, located in Taixing High-tech Zone.
More than 100 contestants from 18 delegations in the province participated in the event. They appeared on stage one by one, igniting the passion of summer with melodious sounds.
The Jiangsu Province Saxophone Competition began on the afternoon of Aug 4, with competitors playing it out for glory in the one main venue and in two sub venues.
The competition was divided into a youth group and middle-aged and senior citizens groups, with performances rendered in pop, classical and other styles.
Passionate sax renditions from contestants showed the charm of the instrument and shared the joyful achievements of wind music development in the province.
