Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province is actively guiding and supporting local business enterprises to build research and development institutions.

It's also pushing the role played by 460 R&D institutions in the city in supporting overall technological innovation.

In the Taixing High-tech Zone, manufacturer Jiangsu Landian Environmental Limited by Share Ltd mainly makes high-efficiency electrostatic precipitators, complete sets of desulfurization and denitrification equipment, as well as bag and electric bag composite dust collectors.

To enhance its core competitiveness, the company began to establish the "Flue Gas Dust Removal and Desulfurization Engineering Research Center" in 2021.

It cooperated with Southeast University in Nanjing city in the province and with other units to establish an integrated research and development platform that integrates industry, university and research.

After three years of development, the company now has improved its ranking in the field of non-ferrous metal electrostatic precipitators, with a market share of over 95 percent for electrostatic precipitator products.

Currently, Taixing is home to 151 research and development institutions above the provincial level, mainly distributed in industries such as fine chemicals, new materials and high-end equipment.

These R&D institutions are regarded as being important carriers for enhancing original innovation capabilities, gathering high-end innovation resources, conducting industrial technology research and development and for commercializing achievements.
