The Taixing High-tech Zone in Taixing city, Jiangsu province, is leveraging the forces of new social groups to help propel its development.
New social groups mainly include management and technical personnel of private and foreign-funded enterprises, social organization practitioners, freelancers, and new media practitioners.
A research report evaluating the implementation effectiveness of a pilot project for the Ecology-Oriented Development or EOD mode was unveiled on April 20, promoting the zone's EOD model to a wider audience.
The report was compiled by Zhang Chenghua, president of the zone's New Social Stratum Association, along with other social groups in the field of ecological and environmental protection.
A growing number of companies in the zone have benefited. One manufacturer Jiangsu Cosine Electric Co Ltd has now realized the intelligent production and management of its factories under the leadership of Yao Haiming, its general manager.
After returning from studies abroad in 2004, Yao took over the family company and seized opportunities for its digital and intelligent transformation.
Yao led the company to expand into a national-level "little giant" company – an enterprise specialized in niche industries with cutting-edge technologies and great growth potential – with its sales of medium voltage transformers now ranking it among the top three in its field in China.
Elsewhere, Jiangsu Shengnan Electronic Technology Co Ltd has become a first-class supplier of integrated electromechanical aviation equipment and distribution system solutions after 14 years of development.
Wu Guoqing, general manager of the company, said its rapid development could not be separated from the assistance of new social groups in the zone, who injected vitality into its innovation and transformation.
