Two business enterprise engineering research centers based in the Taixing High-tech Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – recently got the green light to be upgraded to municipal-level engineering research centers.
The first is the Taizhou Intelligent Adaptive Floating Water Extraction Pump Ship Engineering Research Center, which mainly depends on Jiangsu Zhongxing Water Service Co Ltd.
Its work centers around how these pump ships solve transportation difficulties by using their large structures, adapting to changing outdoor environments and improving safety, among other things.
It conducts research into structural, safety and environmental adaptability. In addition, it makes breakthroughs in key technologies such as the modular designs of hulls, the anti-corrosion coatings of hulls and the sealing of pump body joints – also developing intelligent and floating water intake pump ship equipment.
The other facility is the Taizhou Industrial Robot Precision Reducer Engineering Research Center, which mainly depends on Jiangsu Wankie Drive Technology Co Ltd.
It tackles technical issues related to the quality stability, accuracy and diversity of specific types in the development of precision reducers for construction machinery robots.
