Zhang Kun, Party secretary of Taixing city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – and Taixing Mayor Liu Wenrong recently led a team conducting inspections of progress being made in projects currently under construction in the Taixing High-tech Zone.
They first visited the construction site of an integrated circuits packaging test plant that will be operated by Taizhou Huatuo Electronic Technology Co Ltd.
Costing 500 million yuan ($68.97 million), the plant is projected to produce 5 billion chips and integrated circuits for packaging and testing annually when at full capacity.
With a floor space of 40,000 square meters, the factory will employ an estimated 432 sets of equipment such as fully automatic loading machines, unmanned soldering machines and intelligent plastic sealing presses.
Another project will be engaged in the production of battery cover assemblies, with an investment of 500 million yuan. Covering 38,000 sq m, the plant will house main equipment and auxiliary facilities such as an integrated busbar production line, soft connection production line and air compressor.
At full capacity, the plant is projected to produce 3 million sets of integrated busbar templates and 1 million sets of module structural components annually.
Moving forward, plans are for the zone in the current year to sign up, break ground on and complete 36, 18 and 14 projects respectively worth over 100 million yuan each.
