The Taixing High-tech Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – held a conference on June 5 to review and summarize the work completed last year and to clarify the key tasks ahead in the current year.
The conference heard that the zone will make every effort to become a higher-level special innovation zone and a model zone that promotes the integration of industry and the city.
Conference attendees were told that to do so, the zone will seize on historical, major infrastructure construction and strategic opportunities, tackle more major projects and create a more appealing science and technology environment.
Plans are for the zone to build a new-type industrial park with a more modern vibe, more high-tech features and more innovative vitality, making effective overall arrangements for traditional, emerging and future industries.
Relying on its one partner program, two offshore centers and three sci-tech innovation platforms, the zone will aim to continue to improve the quality and efficiency of its sci-tech innovation work.
The zone is acting to be home to over 50 high-tech enterprises and over 100 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises by the end of the year.
Moreover, efforts will also be made to optimize the zone's risk classifications and controls system and strengthen corruption risk prevention and controls.
