The Jiangsu Province Permanent Magnet Motor Standardization Technical Committee was officially launched in the Taixing High-tech Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – following a founding ceremony held on Nov 21.
Permanent magnet motors represent the development direction of motors and are upgraded products of various non-permanent magnet drive motors, servo motors, and asynchronous motors.
As the first of its kind in China, the committee will conduct work in the preparation of system tables, coordination work with organizations, as well as technical support and talent training in the permanent magnet motor industry.
During the ceremony, academician Cao Yanlong was appointed as the first director of the committee.

Taking this as an opportunity, plans are for the zone to further deepen the development of emerging industries such as permanent magnet motors and encourage more industry alliances, associations and standards committees to settle in the zone.
