As of Sept 27, over 380 units and over 1,100 people from Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – had signed up to participate in the upcoming sixth China International Import Expo, or CIIE, to be held in Shanghai.
Taizhou enterprises accounted for nearly 90 percent of the registered units.
This year's CIIE will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Nov 5-10.
"To ensure the orderly progress of preparations, Taizhou has established a working system of one municipal-level transaction subgroup and six transaction subgroups – and has established all-round groups covering comprehensive coordination, investment promotions, foreign affairs receptions, publicity, security and logistics support," said Tang Chi, from the city's bureau of commerce.
The expo is composed of country exhibitions, business exhibitions, Hongqiao forums and other activities, with the country exhibition this year to be fully resumed on-site.
