The 2022 innovation and entrepreneurship statistics for the Taixing High-tech Zone – located in Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – are said to reflect its top performance and dedicated efforts.
Last year, six leading talent projects in the zone were recognized as Taizhou innovation and entrepreneurship projects, accounting for 46 percent of the projects so identified in that metropolis. Furthermore, two projects in the zone participated in the provincial project question-and-answer period.
In 2022, funds for science and technology activities in the zone were estimated at 400 million yuan ($59 million) and technology transactions reached 1.69 billion yuan.
To attract more top people, the zone took moves to expand recruitment channels – as well as to deepen its platform resources and encourage schools to cooperate with enterprises and local business entities.
The zone brought in 126 innovation and entrepreneurship new subjects last year in total, including 94 high-level people and 40 with a doctorate degree. What's more, it announced six national overseas talent projects and recruited 11 foreign high-end talent and professionals to work in China.
Considering the needs of high-level talent, the zone offered subsidies for talents of 12 million yuan, with entrepreneurship vouchers, innovation vouchers, housing vouchers and living allowances.
