Two companies based in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province – received top prizes in the prestigious 2022 Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, the highest awards in the field in the province.
The design theory, key technologies and engineering applications for large solid-liquid mixed transportation systems – developed by Yatai Pump & Valve Co Ltd – won second prize.
The green and efficient preparations technology and commercialization of eco-friendly, water-based coating film forming additives – developed by Runtai New Material Co Ltd – won third prize.
The award mainly recognizes scientific and technological projects that have achieved significant economic or social benefits. That's in terms of technological inventions, tech developments, major projects construction, promotions and the commercialization of sci-tech achievements – as well as in high-tech industrialization, social welfare and other areas.
The strict evaluation and strong competition have made the awards a touchstone for rigorously testing the tech development of companies.
