Taixing is accelerating the deep integration of scientific and industrial innovation, shifting its core strategy from building platforms to generating tangible results. By constructing a three-tiered collaborative system of "concept verification, pilot testing, and integrated incubation", the city is successfully bridging the gap between laboratory research and industrial production.
A prime example is the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) Semiconductor Ceramic Materials Research Institute, where teams from Tsinghua University are tackling critical bottlenecks. The institute has successfully developed 4-inch and 8-inch alumina ceramic electrostatic chucks while advancing 12-inch product development.

Leveraging its mature pilot-test platform, the institute collaborates with local firms like Yongzhi Ceramics to drive full-process R&D and build a high-end fine ceramics cluster.
Similarly, the JITRI Institute of Medical Foods in Huangqiao Economic Development Zone is fast-tracking commercialization. It has attracted major projects from industry leaders like Bloomage Biotech and Sinoven Bio, alongside pilot initiatives led by academic experts.
To date, Taixing has established 169 science and technology innovation platforms, including three national-level platforms and a national tech enterprise incubator. Moving forward, the city aims to deepen university-institute cooperation and streamline the full pipeline from applied research to mass industrialization.
